We discussed in our last post a brief history of the Vietnam War. We also shared a testimony of a veteran who didn't know he was exposed to the deadly chemical, Agent Orange until recent years.

As a matter of fact,19 million gallons of Agent Orange was sprayed throughout 4.5 million acres of battle ground during the years 1961-1972. All of Agent Orange was distributed by the U.S Military. It's proven that Agent Orange can cause psychological symptoms, tumors, birth defects, cancer, and many other illness's that effect vets and their families. Not only did Vietnam veterans fight for our country without any awareness as to what they were fighting for. They were exposed to toxic herbicide mixtures by their own country. Surly veterans are entitled to benefits. Below are benefits that it's time you be aware of! Agent Orange Exam If you are a Vietnam Veteran you should know that you are eligible for a free of cost Agent Orange Health Exam. You are a victim to this deadly chemical-- whether or not you went to the war for, or against your will. If you haven't had any health problems, you should still be examined. There is proof you can develop illnesses in the future due to Agent Orange. If medical professionals deny you a free exam, call our Law Firm immediately. Certification Programs You are entitled to financial assistance when pursuing an education. The GI Bill will offer up to $20,000 to assist covering the cost of certification courses other than vocational training. Along with receiving credits that can be used towards a college degree. Life Insurance Veterans can receive up to $40,000 in life insurance through the service-members' and Veterans group Life Insurance program. Several Veterans have trouble obtaining life insurance, prevalent if they suffered injury during their service. This benefit is a necessity. Long--Term Healthcare Many veterans are eligible to receive money to pay for assisted living, nursing homes and other long-term care through the Aid And Attendance program. Couples can receive up to $25,020 a year. Surviving spouses of vets are eligible to receive up to $13,350 a year to cover long-term care. Care Giver Support The Department of Veterans Affairs offers a Caregiver Support Program. Although this program doesn't offer any community financing, they are provided with a free support life and caregiver support coordinator, to help navigate military benefits. This will help take much of the stress of care giving away. Death Benefits It's always devastating when a family member passes away. Cost of a service and burial just adds to the emotional stress. The Department of Veterans Affairs provides free headstones or grave markers. Families may request a Presidential Memorial Certificate to honor the deceased veterans service. The. A.U.S. may be requested to drape over the casket. We hope this brought awareness to the history, and the after math of the Vietnam War. We encourage you to call our Law Firm if you have any questions regarding Veteran Benefits and law suits. We thank all of our veterans for your service, and we will do our best to bring you justice.
